Such a hard book to review because there are a lot of good elements but also some morally gray/confusing/negative elements too. I like a lot of parts of it, like the overall plot and descriptions, but Tris as a character is so aggrivating to me because she such a huge liar which trumps all her other positive qualities. Needless to say, best character is Four: this guy is a gem and too good for Tris, in my opinion.
Graphic: Child death, Death, Gun violence, Violence, War
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Sexual content, Suicidal thoughts, Toxic relationship, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Child abuse
Adult/minor relationship is Tris and Four. Its tricky cause in their universe she is an adult at 16 and he's 18. But in reality/our universe, she's a minor and he's an adult at 18. Its possible she is 17 by now, but the book isn't clear on how much time has passed from the first book through the second.
One minor character is heavily implied/revealed to be gay, but it doesn't influence the story at all really, its pretty random and then moved on from quickly.
