The Book That Broke the World
by Mark Lawrence
This was en excellent sequel to The Book that Wouldn’t Burn. The book had me hooked and developed on the world building and the character development brilliantly.
This book build upon the intricate world of the Library, whilst also introducing the external world and new aspects of it too. The introduction to the new characters was smooth and descriptive and were intertwined to the story very well.
I really enjoyed the interactions between humans and canith, especially the dynamics between two who I cannot mention for spoiler purposes…… This book really engrosses you within the world and the characters deeply.
My only pain point of this book would be that I feel it was too short. The length of the previous book would have been perfect and would have allowed for more time within the world and interactions with the characters and it wouldn’t have felt like it was too much.
