I remember reading and loving this book 30-some years ago. Still holds up for me as I make my way through the Castle Rock stories.
Like the main antagonist, Leland Guant, King winds up the reader, building tension and sets us off. Once the characters start going at each other the story just flies along leading to an epic showdown.
Loved how this book brought in the lore of the previous Castle Rock stories, something I didn't pick up on my earlier read.
TW: dog violence, poor Raider.
Another thing, I don't know what's up with 90's King audiobooks, but this is another with odd sound effects and music (like Insomnia), totally unnecessary.
