Dirt Creek by Hayley Scrivenor

Let me preface this by saying that this book is not bad. The prose of it is actually quite good, and that is probably what I enjoyed most. However, to me, this book was incredibly slow paced with a lot of things going on that had nothing to do with the actual plot of the disappearance. Because of this, it definitely took me longer to read than an average book of this length. However, I love the exploration of childhood and love and some real feelings and issues (such as how Lewis feels about his brother). Overall, a very well-written book, but it definitely could’ve done with some twists and turns or a more gripping ending.
