Dominion by Ray Star
4.0
So book two picks up right where we left off and let me tell you what an opening!
The Resistance may have won the battle (barely!) but they have not won the war, at least not yet! Peridot has been captured and must learn to control her powers as she is just possibly humanities only change of survival! Along with her friends and family of course!
I loved this book, this story just keeps getting better and better! I never thought these words would come our of my mouth, but I really hate Alan the Chicken, well technically he's a cockerel but you know what I mean!
So Peridot is part of the Resistence, bonded with her familiar, has found her best friend, and has been captured by the Defendants! What else can they throw at Peridot and her friends? Well let me tell you that was just the beginning!
Talk about a rollercoaster ride from the first to the last page! And my goodness what a cliffhanger! I loved the frist book and I'm glad to say this did not disappoint, the plot twists continue and are, if anything, even more twisty! The character development is great and we learn more about the backstories of some of the side characters, and I do love a great side character!
Ray is a great story teller and I cannot wait to read the conclusion to this series, but also I don't want it to end!
