Book Lovers by Emily Henry

slow-paced

5.0

This book was not a rom-com for me! How can anyone classify this as a rom-com?! Yes, I laughed. The banter and characters were witty and one may have ended up in some poop, but this book was tear-jerking, all I can remember is being on the brink of crying (A typical response from me when it comes to Emily Henry's books)!
I have to admit though, as someone who loves a cliche romance novel, I felt attacked when Nora would classify men with tropes. 🤣 I'm a fan of the instant love stories when the entitled prick goes to a small town and falls for the shy and hope-filled.

Nora and her sister's relationship was so good. It didn't overlap with the romance between Nora and Charlie at all.
Speaking of that romance, it was so frustrating! They would get so close. 3 times! 3 times they had every opportunity for their relationship to get serious, but it didn't! I was so mad! But it made sense in the end. I enjoyed it.

Emily Henry is becoming one of my favorite authors. I have read 3 of her books so far, I want more. The worlds in her books are not interconnected at all, but I keep reading them as if they are a series. I never want them to end (even though the endings are so good). Every book makes me think I'm a masochist because I always end up crying (Not all sad tears, I promise!), but wanting to read them more.
