The Hollow by Nora Roberts

5.0

The men of the Hollow, Cal, Fox, and Gage continue to research the history the demon they let out of the Pagan Stone, we continue to unravel its mysteries. With the women who came to the Hollow, Quinn, Layla, and Cybil, they find they are all connected. As they get closer to the truth, they all experience dreams, visions, and are plagued by hallucinations.

Fox, the town lawyer has a gift of seeing in the now, to feeling and possibly seeing into what a person is thinking or feeling. He shares this gift with Layla, the woman who came to the Hollow after a dream. Knew how to get there, where to find shelter, and what roads to take when she'd never heard of Hawkins Hollow and had never been there. Destined to end up there. As she struggles to find her way, her new skill, and her new friends, she forms a bond with Fox. They'll both have to work together to see it through to what needs to be done.

Oh, how I enjoyed Fox and Layla's story. I am so enthralled with the Pagan Stone, the history, the ancestry, the story wrapped up in it. Each of the six has a skill, a task, and a stake in it. I think Roberts does an amazing job of intertwining six lives, all individuals, all into teams. All into the stone and what lies beneath it. The demon and where they go next. So good.
