Turns out that I like fantasy....never thought I would but I might as well embrace it. I read this as a suggestion to kill time waiting for the new Robin Hobb book and it's quite good. Boy, teacher, misfortune, struggle, adventure, revenge, mystery, a girl, magic
...yeah, it's all there. I liked it a lot, you might too.


Re-read in 2025. Just as good as I remember.
