Too graphic, too much rape, too much cursing, and just too bleak for my taste especially as I dislike dystopia/end of the world/apocalypse novels
I picked this book up because I want to read from trans authors. While I appreciate the trans characters- adult apocalypse stories are just not for me.
The story is insightful, full of raw honesty, and very very angry. Examining the monsters we see inside others and in ourselves.
I wish I loved this, but the setting just isn’t for me. on top of that the overtly sexual topics are not to my taste.
