I have high expectations for this especially since I fell in love with the cute cover first and also a friend said she loved this book. I even got excited when I learned that it is an age gap (yes!!!) and fake dating trope but was disappointed as it suddenly turned into something more after just a few pages. I was looking forward to the actual sexual tensions since they are now forced to be together even more and not just those years of longing they both have. It also doesn't help that I don't feel connected with the characters at all. I thought I will be considering I found myself being 'too much' most of the times.

The lengthy thoughts and monologues bored me to death. As well as the throwback chapters, which I personally think could be compressed into a few paragraphs or something. I also don't find the skits funny and sometimes I can't differentiate Meyer and Farley's POVs because their thoughts seems similar. The 'conflict' seems anti-climatic too then after a couple of pages, I'm suddenly reading the epilogue and then it's the end.

I wanted to DNF this book but decided to keep going. But I do get why people love this. It is actually slow but cute especially Hazel (she is the star of this book tbh). Also this has ASL, which is just so cool especially since Farley knows how to prior to her meeting Meyer and Hazel.
