Lucy and Felix have a steamy one-night-stand…and then she realizes he’s her best friend Bridget’s little brother. Five years of travels and “slip ups” occur until the fateful summer of Bridget’s wedding, which promises to change everything once and for all.

This was my favorite Carley Fortune book by far, and I really enjoyed the audio production. Carley’s books are so immersive, and her writing really makes the setting come to life. I came away from this book badly wanting to visit Prince Edward Island, and craving a lot of seafood!

Lucy and Felix were both really strong MCs, and there were so many ADORABLE moments here that really won me over on their relationship. I will say (perhaps controversially) that I HATED the character of Bridget (she triggered some very specific friendship triggers for me, which didn’t help) and the aspects of the storyline focused on her frustrated me a bit as a result.

Overall, if you are a fan of Carley’s prior books, I think you’ll love this one, and if you’re not it’s a good place to dive in!
