Beneath Southern Stars by Andrea Johnston is the kind of book that wraps you in a warm hug and makes you never want to leave the cozy charm of Magnolia Grove. This slow-burn, single-dad romance is everything I hoped for and more. From the first chapter, I was hooked by the palpable romantic tension between Laney and Ryan. Andrea Johnston masterfully builds their connection, layering each moment with sparks that make you root for them to get their well-deserved happily ever after.

Laney is a delightful protagonist—her love for her small-town life and her genuine care for her neighbors make her easy to love. She’s the kind of character you want to be friends with. Ryan, on the other hand, is the ultimate swoon-worthy single dad. His devotion to his daughter is heart-melting, and his vulnerability as he navigates grief and second chances is beautifully written.
