Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

Individual rating for each story:

1. The Husband Stitch (a story about marrying your first love, meaning of trust & privacy, and objectification of a wife) - 5 stars
2. Inventory (a story about sexual encounters and a pandemic) - 2 stars
3. Mothers (a very weird story probably about an abusive relationship and an imaginary baby) - 1 star
4. Especially Heinous (the longest one in the book - half-recalled plot summaries or more like re-envisioning of all episodes from the first 12 seasons of the TV Show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit', primarily focussing on the two detectives Benson & Stabler. Although it was fun, I did not understand the point of this story but then again I have not watched even a single episode of this show, so maybe it was difficult for me to relate it with the episodes) - 3 stars
5. Real Women Have Bodies (about fading women and I found my interest in this book also fading) - 2 stars
6. Eight Bites (a plus sized woman gets bariatric surgery leading to a bitter relationship with her plus sized daughter) - 2 stars
7. The Resident (woman comes to term with her adolescent trauma) - 2 stars
8. Difficult at Parties (about a sexual assault survivor) - 3 stars
