Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

3.0

Loved it but a bit disappointed!
The story is revolves around Aza Holmes. A character with phobias and a touch of mental illness. I loved her, she is no doubt an amazing character. She was relatable with her anxiety issues and with her thoughts of how the world worked. Of course, the illness part is where most of us won’t be able to relate and indeed call her her crazy. “ You didn’t go crazy, you always were crazy !” said her Mom and she laughed. That’s my favorite bit. She knew she won’t heal but life goes on! And so it will. She finally accepted that she isn’t hollow inside and even though she is a result of circumstances, she is still her because it is Turtles all the way down!
Now, Daisy is friend definitely worth having ! She stuck with her even though she had to tolerate her. She was like a pizza for her and that’s all that really matters  . I was happy about the fact that Mychal and her came back together. They just had to be together.
The whole Davis, Noah and their father’s story was awful for me. It was just so meaningless. Couldn’t really see the point of it.

What I didn’t like !
I picked up the book, well because it’s John Green ! But this book wasn’t up to John Green standards I tell you ! There were a single ( or two) good character(s) and that’s it ! I did enjoy seeing the world from her eyes but there wasn’t really any story to it ! It started and went on and then abruptly ended. Didn’t feel like I went through a book. I was left waiting for something to happen and it never did !
