A great story of a woman who breaks free of her upbringing and seeks an education. Not only does she do that, but as someone who has never been to school. Her success is inspiring and she's a talented writer, making this a good read. I agree with other critics that some of it could be hard to believe or exaggerated. It is pretty odd how injury-prone the family was.
