Less Than Human: Why We Demean, Enslave, and Exterminate Others by David Livingstone Smith

3.0

3.5 stars. I found this interesting/ worthwhile but wasn't sure I agreed with the author's basic argument which is that humans have an innate tendency toward "folk biology" (i.e. assigning people to categories and believing those categories have a specific essence) which inherently leads toward othering and dehumanizing people from other categories. I also was left with some questions similar to this reviewer's questions.
