From the witty commentary to the descriptive writing style, Mr. Pleasant and Stephanie help take the cake for best book I've read this year. The characters have great depth and flippantness about them that well written stories have (not unlike Harry Potter), the setting has that perfect mix of cheesy scary and old fashioned magic mystery, and the concept of a magic scepter, walking talking skeleton, and ancient evil gripped me like very few books can.
Easily a 5 star book, I hope the rest of them carry on well.
I can't wait to read the rest of this series!
