Ian and Avi made for wonderfully likable protagonists, the narration was fluid and enveloping, the language was nothing short of fucking beautiful, and I loved the balance between grief and hope. If you're into magical realism, an overlap of Jewish and queer identity or just want so see some young trans boys become happy with each other and themselves, don't miss this one!
