Into the Woods: Tales from the Hollows and Beyond
by Kim Harrison
Let me start by saying I have read only one Hollows book. Maybe two. Also, I find it really difficult to review shirty story collections. And, in another note, I didn’t realize this was a Hollows book until I started reading it.
I found that I enjoyed the stories from beyond the Hollows a great deal more than the Hollows books. Maybe that’s why I have read only one Hollows book.
The last story — Grace — was probably my favorite. I really liked reading about versions of dryads, too. She tells good stories, I just am not really attached to the characters from the Hollows. Maybe someday I’ll try another Hollows book, to see how those go. I usually give a book series two books before I decide. And even then, I have returned to series I abandoned.
