Against the Loveless World
by Susan Abulhawa
This is a story unlike any I’ve ever read before. It starts with a Palestinian woman in a solitary confinement cell. I loved all the female characters in this book and their relationships, how they exerted their voice and power in anyway they could, how resilient they were. I hadn’t read stories about the historical events in this book form this perspective, and it was eye-opening.
