Move over Stars Hollow because Wishing Tree is here and there will be a line up of residents wanting to move in after reading this book. It's the perfect story to launch you into the holiday spirit. It's a Hallmark Holiday Movie in book form and I loved it!
The pacing is great and there was lots going on to keep you interested in everyone's story line. I was equally invested in each ladies love story. Both leads and storylines were different and were woven together wonderfully. First there is Reggie, a little lost after a tragic breakup the year before reconnects with her high school sweetheart. A wonderful second chance romance with a single dad, a great kid and a cowardly Great Dane. And there is Dena, a inseminated pregnant woman with a plan. She's given up on love until a Rock Star with a tragic past books into her B&B. These are all characters you want to root for. I think having 2 main characters are what made this as successful as it was. While each sister was interesting, I'm not sure that they would have been able to succeed with a book on their own.
Lots of holiday spirit, delightful characters, strong friends and family bonds, a cute kid, a charming town who adores Christmas and celebrates the first snowfall, adorable pups, two great romances- honestly what's not to like! I'm not ready to leave Wishing Tree yet so I'm jumping right into Home Sweet Home .
