Five Total Strangers by Natalie D. Richards

1.0

Tiktok swore this book was one of the best ‘wtf is happening’ suspense thrillers, that it was a 5 star read, so i read it. I need to stop listening to tiktok. Yes, i didn’t know who the bad guy was, but I could see the ‘plot twist’ from the second chapter, and just wanted to figure out if the book would surprise me with what i was promised would be a ‘mindblown’ ending. Spoiler: it wasn’t.

Like a watered down No Exit. I didn’t realize this was YA, but i wish i had, because it was just so boring. Don’t get me wrong, i read it in one sitting, because it’s so easy to read and does have some good moments of suspense and confusion, but there were so many subplots that just fell totally flat.

The guy with the hat? Why was Daniel SUCH a big deal? What was some of that repetitive, leads-to-nowhere dialogue for? WHY DID KAYLA NEED 1000000 NAPS?!?!
