What a delightful read!
Let me warn you first that while there is delight in this book it is a heavy read. The scenes of torture are heavy and weighted on me specifically because of their misogynistic motives (which is an issue that triggers me particularly)
The story of persecution and suffering of women is still a very real issue in our time. The protagonists are, then, the real witches women were so commonly accused of being. The story has it all: mystery, Magic, and romance. The characters are very well developed and the narrative is intriguing.
Of you're interested in a feminist take on witches, this is your book!
