Sycamore Row
by John Grisham
Welcome back to Ford County and the world of Jack Brigance, Ozzie Walls, and Lucian Wilbanks. It's been three years since the trial Carl Lee Hailey and the players are still where they were when we left. Any fame and glory was short lives, Jack is in a fight with the insurance companies over a settlement for his destroyed home and is still pounding the pavement for clients. Now a middle aged attorney in middle of nowhere Mississippi he seems to have picked up the typical Grisham baggage of being disgruntled in his practice of law.
That is until a new client sends him a letter....
This book really is a return to Grisham in good form. It seemed fresh and it was nice to revisit Ford County and characters I enjoyed in the first book.
If you gave up on Grisham go back and read A Time to Kill and then pick up Sycamore Row. It will remind you of why you first enjoyed his writing.
