Thanks to Jennifer (the book nympho)for recommending this series.

Having now read the first three books in the series I would recommend these books for readers who like contemporary romances, full of large interfering families.

So, Joe is a famous author, Keri is a journalist working for a gossip magazine in LA. Twenty years ago they were a couple in High School but Keri realised they had very different ideas about the future so she left town and never looked back. When Keri's boss finds out that she knows the reclusive author she issues an ultimatum - get an interview or get another job.

When Joe and Keri meet for dinner they are both surprised at the chemistry between them - as a joke Joe says he will only grant an interview IF Keri accompanies him on the Kowalski family camping trip. With her job on the line Keri is forced to accept.

Others have complained about the formulaic big City girl roughing it camping and I agree it was a bit heavy-handed. And I agree Joe's twin sister Terry was over-done. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story and the Kowalski family are great characters.
