Only With Me by Brooke Montgomery
5.0

Is there actual crack in this book? If not, please explain why I could not put this book down!!!

Another suspenseful small-town drama from Brooke. Man, this town has to be friggin cursed with all the drama that happens here.

Our main man, Waylon Hollis, is a true cowboy on his family ranch & resort. He has a twin named Wilder who truly is wild as hell. Waylon is the more responsible one of the two and literally picks his brother up every time he falls. Waylon carries the weight of his brothers demons and has a hard time finding happiness. Until . . .

Harlow Fanning, the little sister of our cowboy MMC's ex-girlfriend!! *awkward*
Our girl has her own demons to deal with. Having been literally beaten by 3 boys, at the age of 13, when she tried to keep her family home from being robbed. Harlow may have physically healed, but emotionally and mentally, she is still reeling from the trauma. Add onto that her father's mental and emotional fragility due to his physical disability.  This girl & her family had been put thru the ringer!!! The fact that she is still a fairly joyous piece of sunshine is quite a wonder. I love it so much.

The way that Waylon "helps" Harlow explore herself intimately was HOT!! The fact that she was so comfortable to ask for his help in this department was adorable as hell.
The age gap really helped play into the experience differential and made the student/teacher theme really good.

The kidnapping at the end had me raw. I was so friggin mad that Harlow had to go through this again. As soon as Emery started being super invasive on the 1st date, I knew he had a connection to that terrible date 7 years prior. Ugh.

The fact that Harlows dad committed suicide was super emotionally triggering. I knew it was coming, I read the TW, but I was emotionally invested in his wellbeing, and I feel broken. I literally cried.

I love Harlow & Waylon together. They are so adorable. I'm glad that Mr. Fanning was able to meet Waylon and get to know him better in order to give his blessing before he left everyone behind.
