General Comments: An all introduction and set up; the relationship and competition threads are starting to unfold. It is quickly becoming an addictive opera. The choice of fencing, for the sport, is a particularly interesting one; as it is highly visual, extremely competitive, and a sport drawing very little attention to itself. The illustrations, by Johanna the Mad, are clean and simple; inspired by Japanese Sports Manga.

Favourite Quote: ‘Fencing the way you usually do becomes more difficult the more desperate you get.’
