I can't believe that there are already 15 books in this series, which, without a doubt is truly my favorite cozy mystery series.
Coffee, check. Spunky strong female character, check. Spunky octogenarian, check. Smooth male characters, check. NYC, check. Coffee, check. Did I mention coffee? Oh, and the recipes are seriously the best.
So even though this one is not set in my beloved NYC I didn't hesitate to dive into it. Washington DC proved to be an equally good location - I felt as though I was there with Claire and Mike. The pacing of these books is always spot on. I enjoyed the way we learned about what happened by Claire explaining things to Mike.
