The Wrong Knickers: A Decade of Chaos
by Bryony Gordon
I enjoyed elements of this book (Gordon has a punchy, fun style), but overall found it self-indulgent and navel-gaze-y in the extreme. Happily, the days of the tell-all middle class trainwreck autobiography's strange hold seem to be behind us. I'm not surprised that this was published in 2014, and I kind of wonder whether it would be published now. Bridget Jones was the acme of the genre -- we should have stopped there.
