Had a great time reading this, and I’m excited to read the 2nd one! I really enjoyed it.
I’m always surprised when I remember that y/a novels deal with such dark, real themes. I shouldn’t be, it’s always been like that. But it was a pleasant surprise. They deal with so much loss and corruption in this book, it’s astonishing and inspiring. Their resilience is admirable.
There were many twists and turns in this book that I wasn’t fully expecting. I really enjoyed the ride, especially near the end. I do hope this gets turned into another animated series, I’d love to see these characters on screen. No live action please.
I hope others read this too. It was really nice to jump back into this world that I love so much, be back around the benders.
