Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins

4.0

This is the story of a red-headed princess who falls for a rebellious red-headed bomber and their effort of "making love stay." Sounds wacky, right? It totally was, but in a good way, like in a way where the wackiness seems normal so you accept and move on...really. Robbins is to writing as Expressionists are to painting. He weaves wit, paradoxes, philosophy, and humor together into a tight little story. Yum.
