Crave

This was interspersed with cosy familiar teenage drama and friendships you’d expect from a book like this and moments of intense cheesy cringe.
Some of the things in this book was just… wierd. But amusing, like funny amusing. The situation of them meeting was strange and despite the fact they barely know each other and have met barely a day, she seems to put up with insane weirdness fairly easily. I mean, she busts her lip, he points out she’s bleeding, he wipes away her blood and proceeds to put his fingers in his mouth whilst looking at her uncomfortably and sucking at his fingers. And she’s okay with it? She’s spent about 10 minutes with him but she seems down for the fact that that’s what he’s doing.
I know it’s fiction but I lolled. It was all so cringe and unbelievable but it was entertaining. It had cheesy teenage vampire book vibes which I low-key enjoyed because it was cringe bad and a hark back to ye olde twilight days. Maybe I’m too old for this book but it was such cheese. I’ll still going to read the second and probably the entirety of the series because I’m a glutton for punishment.
Can safely say Grace has got the ‘damsel in distress’ trope down. She spent most of the time in the infirmary than anywhere else in the book and went to about, 2 classes the entirety of her boarding school stay. But saying all of this, yeah. I’m still going for the second book.
