Fatal Remedies: by Donna Leon, Donna Leon
4.0
I read mysteries because they're neat and contained. This one, not so. This Brunetti novel begins with a social issue affection Guido and Paola's marriage, which leads into the mystery, but not for perhaps a third of the novel. And its a foolish situation I thought out of character for a woman the author had always previously portrayed as extremely smart and sensible. The mystery, once it begins, is fine and interesting as usual.
