bluemorpho3 's review for:
Dracula
by Bram Stoker
It was a nice surprise when Dracula first arrived on the scene as an old man with white hair and moustache. Society of late has grown used to vampires that appear on the surface as teenagers though they are centuries old. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, but would not call it a "horror" story like it may have been thought of back when it was first published in the 1800s. There was comedy peppered in here and there throughout the evil the main characters had to face, which was nice. After reading the whole "Twilight" series, it was nice to see what [a:Bram Stoker|6988|Bram Stoker|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1202438456p2/6988.jpg] thought vampires would be like. Dracula was based on Vlad the impaler, so he had a gruesome person to base such a character on.
