Dead Men's Trousers by Irvine Welsh
5.0
Welsh doing well. Good story. The usual interesting characters. Good insights about the condition of the world and the condition of people. Worth reading and buying this book. You will come back to it sometime. A few missteps: characters' names in chapter titles (I wonder if this was the publisher's officious intervention; Welsh knows very well how to give each character her or his own voice, and the character names in the chapter titles seem a little condescending . . . we know by the end of the first sentence just who is speaking); "hones in"; some stupid interrobangs. But the writing is beautiful and the story is compelling and the characters stay with you. Good book. Good work.
