Of Women and Salt by Gabriela Garcia

3.5 ⚡️⭐️

Honestly I liked this book a lot but I had a hard time following the timeline since it was non linear. I found myself having to stop and go back to the beginning of the chapters or go back to others to recollect and get myself on the right track.

But regardless of my timeline struggle, Gabriela’s writing was beautiful. I loved reading this. I loved her flow and style of writing.

I find I really like generational stories and I enjoyed this one from multiple voices. Women’s voices. Immigrant women daughters of immigrants. And women who started it all for their family. This book was not a joyful read but it was deep and hit a lot of hard topics.
