The Frogs by Aristophanes

4.0

I understand that there is a lot of contextual messaging I need to go back and analyse but this play for me personally really peaks in the first half and the section with the slapstick fight. The agons felt as if they dragged but I still appreciate that I cannot see how this would have been authentically produced in the 5th century so I'm missing out on a lot of the contemporary visual and verbal humour. Still, it was surprisingly engaging and still relatable despite its age as a text.
