The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

2.0

İ know I'm a minority here. I'm so sad I didn't love it. I was super excited about reading this book because every book instagramer i knew was head over heels for this one. But it's just...badly written. The inner dialogue is a dangerous resource when overused, and Zapata overuses it a lot (and she does this giving us just *one* POV) and this is probably what makes the book so slow. I get the idea of a "slow romance" but this was not that, this was a slow book. A slow book with absolutely no conflict. There's no conflict (?!). It's just a sequence of events, if you're reading digitally and you don't look at the page count you'd probably not notice when the ending is coming. In addition to this, there are loose plots everywhere. It's like Mariana forgot she was supposed to continue those stories and left them quickly resolved or UNresolved. I was genuinely surprised. About the love story, I'll say that's the reason I'm giving this two stars. The idea of Them™ is good. I would've love to see more of it and have more information but I guess I'll have to stick to my imagination. I'm seriously bumped
