I liked how it started. Very cozy and peaceful, but still promising.
The conflict with Aodhan felt a bit too soon, I would've liked to enjoy their happiness a bit longer, but I felt Meri's feelings were justified.
It's a bit lame that the next villain is also the school's headmaster. The additional villain saved it.

I have to say, the teamwork between the teenagers and their parents was very fun to see. I think you don't really get that often, usually it's just the teens saving the world behind their parents' backs.
Past maybe 30% of the book, I really have nothing to complain about. It was fun, interesting and exciting. The first book also had a rough start in my opinion, but it gets ironed out soon.
