I absolutely love a strong protective man and a strong independent female that doesn't realize she wants to be looked after and protected and this book deliveries just that!
Camilla is 34 year old girl that's lived on her own for half her life! She's strong independent, but doesn't know when to ask for help.
Marlon is 38 year old man that's looked after everyone that's ever meant something to him. After losing his mother as a teen he raised his brother Leo while looking after both his ill grandparents only to be left all alone in life.
Camilla and Marlon are like two puzzle pieces that finally found each other, but they both are too headstrong and afraid to admit it. But when Camilla is in danger Marlon is willing to take the risk of getting his heart broken once again.
I just love Marlon! My heart broke for both these amazing people throughout the whole book and I'm so happy they are getting the happiness they deserve.
I just wish there was more of a healing moment for Marlon involving his brother Leo. I know it's a romance novel, but it would have been amazing to see that interaction as well.
