Merit's adventures continue and this time things are different. She finds herself struggling to keep up with things, facing problems everywhere and lacking her loved ones' support.
I figured out a big part of the mystery early on but it was still well written and I enjoyed following Merit while she tried to puzzle things out. A few scenes were a bit vague and I would have preferred them to be a little more detailed, but all in all I enjoyed the book.
The unexpected (yet somehow expected) big surprise in the story was one I was really looking forward to and the author didn't disappoint. Furthermore, I really have to give it up to her for her daring choices and directions she's taking her characters.
Looking forward to seeing where they go next...
