In Close Your Eyes and Count to Ten, social media daredevils gather for the “ultimate game”of hide and seek—but things go sideways fast.

Storm? Check. Creepy abandoned hotel? Check. Mysterious deaths? Oh yeah.

Adele, a single mom with bills to pay and zero time for nonsense, is our  heroine—and honestly the only one I was rooting for. She’is gritty, grounded, and just trying to survive long enough to hug her kids again.

The premise is strong, the setting is a whole vibe, and the influencer drama adds a fun modern twist. I just wish the pacing had matched the stakes. The first half drags a bit, but it does pick up and keep you engaged & guessing!

Still, if you're into slow-burn suspense, messy characters, and stormy island chaos, this one might scratch that thriller itch.
