Humble Pi by Matt Parker

challenging funny informative medium-paced

3.25

This is the best collection of major math-related mess-ups. There are stories that are amusing, stories that will make you shake your head so many times, and stories that will make you gasp because they involved some huge blunders that resulted in deaths. The sheer variety in this book is impressive.

If you are really into numbers and math, this would be right up your alley. Unfortunately, my attention span really struggled with this. This book is filled with a LOT of information that can incredibly technical and dry / dull, and I found it impossible to be invested in well, a lot of it. This was manageable in small bits and pieces but I still struggled to stay interested.

Kudos if you can slam it all down at once. I might give it another try sometime.

Bonus: I learned that Matt Parker has a YouTube channel and he got a new subscriber immediately 👍🏻
