This was a total cover buy for me and I bought it without even reading the synopsis (Savage!)

This.booooooook.

Winning all the awards for "Most Clever Metaphor" by building a story around England, patriarchy, capitalism and transphobia as a (very!) haunted house. The graphic scenes were next level, otherworldly madness, but so appropriate at the same time given the nature and content of the story.

There's a ton to unpack here and this book will stay with me for a LONG time to come.
