This book didn't need to be as long as it was. Something from the 1st was missing in the 2nd, and I think it was the mystery, the questions, the what ifs. I didn't really feel like I learned too much that was new? Ione's story was interesting, but it was dragged out for too long. A couple of the payoffs didn't hit right either. Overall? Certainly not a bad book, but it wasn't quite what I wanted or expected.
