Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
by Alexander Freed
This book is a great addition to the movie, it delves more into the character's background and inner thoughts making their actions more meaningful. The author does a good job of adapting the movie and incorporating the viewers impressions into this book, which, like with many adaptations, will be a better read if you have already seen the movie. Jyn's thoughts on her time with Saw and her skills,, Cassian's internal conflicts, Bodhi's motivation, and the feelings between Chirrut and Baze were all more explained than the movie was able to do and along with the "supplemental files" between chapters made this book an enjoyable addition to the movie and made it one of the better movie adaptations.
