it was a nice reading experience, i liked coming back to this book because the other book i was reading was atrocious in comparison. but i expected so much more from this book because i love how TJR writes (definitely suit my taste), and the way she builds the universes, the characters, just the overall atmosphere of her books is always on point for me. but this one was lacking of something? maybe a real plot line, something with real highs and lows. to to be honest i haven't thought about the characters again since i put down this book, it is not a story which will stuck with you for a long time, but the ride is enjoyable to an extent. i didn't really feel for the characters like i wanted to, it was like reading the biography of someone in details to understand why they're the person they are now, with all the different factors and things that have happened in their life, and that's it, end of the story. i have to admit, i was waiting for the party desperatly at some point, i didn't really care about the past and wanted to focus on the present and how the story would unravel. don't get me wrong, i still liked it, and think it's a great book for the summer, it has deep messages if you think about them, and it can be boring in some aspects, but overall, it's a fine little story with a stunning cover !!
