This was one of those heart-wrenching dystopian novels that was written in such an awe-inspiring way that it leaves your mind grappling. I felt for these characters as each discovered more of themselves the closer to the end of the world. Right up until the end.
.
The descriptions were vivid and rich with imaginary of this world that is set within this ship that has been drifting toward its destination for over a hundred years before a crack is discovered. Readers follow the characters as they journey through the world, either escaping for freedom or to capture for answers. It follows the perspective of two characters right up until when they are no longer pitted against each other, instead united in the end.
.
This was an emotional read, particularly in the beginning with the story being propelled into motion as Myrra is given a purpose and Tobias a chance to prove his own worth in his career. These two characters collide and the gravitational pull toward each other is undeniable. I can’t recommend this anymore than I already am. It is by far my favorite read this year and it will be hard for something to surpass its grandness.
