The his book was just so beautifully written. The pacing, the writing itself, the characters, the setting, the mystery. It was all so gorgeous and perfectly rendered. I couldn't put it down.
I loved June as a character. She was so caring about everyone around her even if she barely knew them. She loved her grandmother so much that she covered up her own delusions so everyone could focus on helping her. And watching her fall in love with the life she created for herself, even if it was a different version of herself, was so beautiful and I loved watching it.
The plot of this one can be really confusing but I thought it was so inventive and well thought out. I was actually able to keep up with it pretty well I think but I can definitely see how others would get very confused. I've always loved time travel books and this one did not disappoint.
The only thing that I'll say didn't really catch me as much as it should have was the romance. I think it was really relying heavily on her memories of the past coming back rather than putting the romance in the current time and by doing that it made it seem like the romance wasn't really on the page and I wasn't as invested in it. I thought the characters had a little chemistry, but I didn't see why she would be falling in love with him again currently if it wasn't for the memories she was gaining from a different life. But I would consider this more of a mystery book than a romance so it didn't bother me too much.
In all this was a fantastic read and I will be looking forwards  other books to try from Young.
