The characters were flat in a way that made them seem like a story, and any development was it seemed through telling rather than showing. I think the charm of the book was lost on me, because it didn’t click with me rather than because it’s necessarily bad. It made little sense to me that the main characters fell in love as they were very 0 to 60, with a bit of random hate in between. Also it never made sense how the MMC knew the FMC.
